Job Overview
This position is responsible for both the installation and service of residential and commercial
audiovisual systems. Additionally, this role combines technical reliability with trained
craftsmanship to deliver dependable, easy-to-use systems on time and on budget for the
company’s clients. Training is available for this position.
Responsibilities
- Install and program comprehensive whole-home automation systems, encompassing
lighting, shades, and HVAC control systems, video distribution systems, distributed
home audio, and security & surveillance systems. - Execute pre-wiring procedures in homes under construction to facilitate future A/V and
home automation projects. - Proficiently pull and route audio/video/phone & data cables throughout both residential
and commercial buildings. - Install and set up a variety of technologies, including TVs, music systems, speakers
(floor, wall-mounted, and recessed), security systems, window treatments, and home
networks. - Perform installation, configuration, and servicing of data networks.
- Possess knowledge of Apple and Windows-based platforms.
- Specialize in the installation of home theater systems and distributed whole-home audio
and video setups. - Demonstrate familiarity with luxury and high-end brands, including Yamaha, KEF, JVC,
Sonos, Samsung, Sony, and others. - Effectively collaborate with designers, architects, and other industry professionals
showcasing strong interpersonal skills. - Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all equipment is functioning properly.
- Interface with customers on-site to make sure their needs are met.
- Provide outstanding customer service to all clients.
- Complete daily paperwork including site notes, tasks, work orders, inventory used, and inventory returned to the warehouse.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associates Degree in Audiovisual Technology or related field, such as Digital Media, is a
plus. - Licensing certifications such as the Certified Technology Specialist is a plus.
- Basic knowledge in audio/video equipment preferred.
- Proficiency with computers- both PC and Mac.
- Basic construction knowledge.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Excellent communication skills in all forms.

- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
Physical Demands
- Physical requirements include standing, sitting, walking, bending, climbing, reaching,
and lifting up to 80 pounds independently.
Hours
Monday-Thursday 7am-6pm with a 1hr lunch. Fridays are reserved for any miscellaneous
office/administrative work but usually are off. Depending on the size of the team of technicians,
you will also have “on-call” hours where you are expected to be available to reply back to clients
in a timely manner.

This position is responsible for organizing and supervising the installation of integrated
residential and commercial technology systems. Additionally, this role combines technical
expertise with exceptional craftsmanship to deliver reliable, easy-to-use systems on time and on
budget for the company’s clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage the on-site activity during all phases of the installation and configuring of
integrated residential and commercial technology systems. - Program systems to work with client accounts
- Training with clients to ensure understanding of how to use the system and manage
expectations - Communicate project needs, change requests, issues, and status.
- Establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with clients, site supervisors,
project partners, and other trades. - Kickstart service delivery by studying system requirements, gathering components and
parts, completing installations, and conducting acceptance testing. - Document service and installation activities meticulously by completing logs and reports,
maintaining confidentiality to bolster customer confidence. - Plan, organize, and direct the work of Field Technicians to achieve project objectives for
efficiency, quality, and craftsmanship. - Complete daily paperwork including site notes, tasks, work orders, inventory used, and
inventory returned to the warehouse. - Sending Day 1 emails to clients and updating all software systems for communication.
- Demonstrate the company’s commitment to superior service through sensitivity to client
requests and needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4-5 years of hands-on experience in the residential or commercial electronic
systems and customer integration industry. - Superior understanding and knowledge of all, or at least some, of the following brands:
Lutron, Control4, SnapAV, Integra, and JoshAI. - Ability to visualize the sequence of work and convert it to a measurable plan and
schedule. - Ability to delegate and direct the work of others while creating a positive learning
environment. - Proficient in articulating clear and effective communication across various platforms-
whether in person or through email, phone, or text- to diverse audiences. - Experience in residential and commercial systems integration, including audio/video,
lighting, shades, climate control, security, CCTV, telephone, and computer networks, with
the ability to set up, configure, calibrate, and commission equipment post-installation. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electronic schematics, and user manuals.
- Proficient with hand and power tools used to complete physical installations of speakers,
displays, equipment racks, and ventilation systems. - Ability to perform calculations, analyze reports, and engage in strategic and creative
problem-solving. - Ability to work under pressure, assess multiple demands, and manage priorities.
